The following are curriculum topics for an HIV/AIDS education program are the minimum required to meet the Washington State Department of Health training requirements. The listed topics are intended for the four-hour licensing requirements and for non-licensed health care facility employees who have no specific hourly Requirements.

* Special requirements: Emergency Medical Services - WACs 246-975 and 246-977 require 4 hours initial training and annual updates. Call (360) 705-6716 for more information. Health Care facility employees - must receive HIV/AIDS education, but topics, not hours, are specified. A minimum of 2-3 hours would be necessary to address topics 1, 2, 5 and 6 on the Outline. Funeral Directors - are under the jurisdiction of the Department of Licensing, not Department of Health. Call (360) 586-4905 for more information. Drug, Alcohol and Substance Abuse (DASA) - counselors are required to have additional, specialized training. Call (360) 438-8219 for more information.
