HIV/AIDS EDUCATION FOR HEALTH CARE, ADULT FAMILY HOME PROVIDERS, AND COUNSELORS
In 1988 the State of Washington passed legislation called the AIDS Omnibus Act. It is now codified as RCW 70.24.310. This act mandates all health care providers take an HIV/AIDS course to be licensed.
Since 2003, we have provided HIV/AIDS education for health care providers as well as community groups. Our courses are live, mulimedia and informative. The courses are given so that the first 4 hours satisfy the 4 hour mandate for counselors.
Our courses meet this one time only Washington State requirement for all health care providers, and is Dept. of Alcohol/Substance Abuse approved. For those needing 7 hours, lunch is on your own with food services nearby. Certificates given upon completion. check-in is 8:15 AM, course begins 8:30 AM; 4-hour class finishes by 1:00 PM; 7-hour class finishes by 5:00 PM. Pre-registration is required.
